Wagyu Gyros Recipe

Ground beef isn’t just for burgers! Try this simple and delicious Beef Gyro recipe made with Wagyu ground beef for a flavorful twist on a weeknight favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground Wagyu Beef
  • Greek seasoning
  • Feta
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumber
  • Onions
  • tzatziki sauce
  • Pita bread

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Place half the ground beef in the center of a sheet of parchment about 12×16. Place another piece of parchment paper the same size on top and use a rolling pin to roll the beef into a thin rectangle, the shape of the parchment paper.
  • Repeat for second half of the ground beef. Remove the top sheet of parchment and sprinkle with Greek seasoning
  • Starting from the long side, fold the parchment over the meat and roll it tightly until it forms a flat, compact log.
  • Place the parchment-wrapped logs onto a baking sheet. And bake for 15 minutes.
  • Let the logs cool just enough to handle. Unroll, break the meat apart into small chunks or thin slices, and return it to the baking sheet.
  • Broil for 2-3 minutes, just until lightly golden with crisp edges.
  • Serve in warm pita with feta, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and tzatziki sauce.
